In this limited participation class, each student will receive one-on-one attention to produce and finish a hand-painted floorcloth or canvas rug. A 2’ x 3’ floorcloth or a set of 4 painted placemats are appropriate projects.

Class will meet on three consecutive Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Please call 828/400-3036 to discuss and confirm your enrollment.

Students will be expected to work on their projects in-between classes, and will have access to the instructor as needed by email or text in-between class sessions. We encourage email/text because a written record of “Questions Answered” is created for the student, and the ability to transmit photos as needed for both teacher and student.

All materials, with the exception of design layer colors and paintbrushes, will be provided in this class. This includes ONE raw canvas blank in a 36” x 48” size, base coat paint, and finishing layer acrylic. Some design color paint will be available, but the student may want to add to the selection for their own project. Additional canvas may be purchased from the instructor as supplies last. Purchase of “Supply Fee AA” is required for each Floorcloth painting session.
